we spent another weekend up at the cabin August 13-15th. This was kind-of a last minute planned trip to spend some time with my sister and her family before they headed off to California. It was a nice couple of days. The kids had fun boating down at the lake and also just playing together at the cabin.

| My Oma and Opa came up for the day while we were up there. I have always loved chess since Opa taught me how to play (like most of the grandchildren). I asked him if he would play a game with me. At first I thought I was going to win and it was a pretty close game. He kept saying, "I don't know- I think I lose..." I'm not sure if it was all for show or if he was just trying to be nice (My Opa never loses at chess), but in the end, my 86-year old Opa took me by surprise and won the game! |
