Our First Christmas in Paradise

Our first Christmas in our new home was a memorable one.   We enjoyed spending time with our family and doing our usual Christmas Eve program with the kids.  Christmas morning we spent at home opening presents and just enjoying our day.
Oma and Opa came up to visit late Christmas Eve and Christmas morning.   I made each of the kids a block with their name, photos,  and birth info on them.   They each have their own color, which they use for different things around the house so I used their colors for these.

The kids couldn't wait to put their new lego sets together!

Over New Year's Eve, Aaron's family came and stayed at our house for a few days and we had a blast!

still not quite sure what to do with the presents

The kids have had a tradition almost every time they get together of putting on a show for all of us.  This year's "show" was hilarious!  It is so fun to watch them use their imaginations!

This little guy was completely exhausted after all the fun.  This made me laugh because
only Jordan could fall asleep upright like this, anywhere, even amid all the noise.

We played a lot of games together, one of them being "Pie in the face" and got a lot of laughs from watching people get whip cream splatted in their face.

Temple Square 2015

For our anniversary this year, Aaron and I had the opportunity of attending the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concert.  The concert was on Saturday, the 18th, the day after our anniversary, so we just stayed home the day of our anniversary.   We ended up doing a stay-at-home date for our anniversary.  I surprised Aaron with some yummy chinese food, which I dished up on nice china and we ate it in the front room.  Our children got really into serving the food to us (as shown in the picture above of Kyle) with a menu and everything.  Erika and Kyle fed the other kids a quick meal in the kitchen while we had our "date".

We stayed down in Sandy with my parents for the next couple days.  We took the opportunity to go sledding on the morning of the 19th.  There wasn't a lot of snow, but we found some on the hill behind the elementary school in Draper.

The evening of the 19th was my mom and dad's party with my siblings.

All the grandkids in their new pajamas

Kaylee enjoying a candy cane.  (easy to please...)

We also took the kids to see Temple Square on our way out of Salt Lake on Sunday.
