Lagoon Day!!

We started off the summer with a trip to Lagoon on June 11th.  It was the perfect day to go- the weather was nice but not too hot, and it wasn't too crowded either.  When we first got there, we were able to walk right on most of the rides, which was really nice.

This was definitely one of the highlights of the summer for our kids!  The last time we went to Lagoon, Heidi was barely 1 year old and Erika was 5.  So, none of our kids really remember going to Lagoon the last time.  This time was much different!!  They were all so excited as we pulled up to the park.  I had so much fun watching the little kids on the "kiddie rides".   At 2, Jordan was only able to go on a couple of rides, and I think he was okay with that.  He didn't seem to know quite what to think on the ones he could go on, seemed a little apprehensive.  Jared and Heidi, on the other hand, had a blast!!

Jordan on his first ride- the classic whale ride!
And, Erika and Kyle were in heaven.  They went on quite a few of the wilder rides and had a lot of fun.  Aaron and I were able to convince Erika to go on the colossus with us, which turned out being pretty scary for her.  She closed her eyes the whole time.   (And, I have to admit, I must just be getting old because it just isn't the same for me anymore like it used to be... ;)   Kyle ended up waiting for us where the ride stops because he just couldn't get the courage.  It's okay...  There will be other days.

We ran into our friends the McKee's at Lagoon and Erika
was able to go on a few rides with her good friend, Kaitlin.

We were glad to have Oma and Opa come to Lagoon with us and share in the fun.  They are good sports  :)  It's always nice to have an extra pair of adult hands...

We went to Lagoon-a-Beach to swim for a couple hours in the afternoon, and that was fun, until... we lost Heidi at the end- she had just wandered off on her own and that was scary for a few minutes.  Then, as we were leaving Lagoon a beach, Jordan threw up all over.  After we cleaned him all up, we hung around for a few more hours, but the trip got a little harder from there.  He was a good sport while everyone went on a few more rides they wanted to go on.  It was a fun packed day for sure, and we were all exhausted as we left the park that night!
